Having had the honour of judging the Carlisle sale of Dutch Spotted sheep this month I was delighted to be able to come home with my female champion, Wedderburn Flipper, bred by Jonathan and Janet Corbett. Flipper is by Glencloy Chance and out of the 20,000gns imported ewe Candy Floss.

We also managed to secure another ewe lamb at 8500gns from Ali Jackson in the form of tiptop Fairy Glamour who is by Tiptop Ed. Both are two very exciting prospects for the flock and we can’t wait to see how they grow on in the future.

We also managed to secure the second prize shearling ram in the form of Carlauston Ego from Messrs Beattie and Kennedy for £2500. This one is by Tiptop Diablo out of an imported female.

Carlauston Ego
Huge congratulations to Emma and Allan Shortt on taking the overall championship with Diamond Fireball and setting a new breed record of 28,000gns when selling to the Sunnybank flock.
