Having returned from a hugely successful Charollais Premier Sale at Worcester, we’re delighted to report that Boyo Bravemansgame certainly lived up to expectations by leading the sale at 24,000gns.

While we’ve always known this lamb has been a stand out, we never dreamt he would hit such headlines! He is by our senior stock tup, Lowerye Vladimir who has had a successful run of aged ram class wins and male championships this summer, prior to being sold privately to Paul and Ollie James of the Ditton flock.

The dam is an Edstaston-bred ewe by Knockin Shockin that was purchased privately from Robert and Jeanette Gregory. Bravemansgame has previously stood male and reserve breed champion at Shropshire County Show on his only outing prior to the Premier Sale.
After spirited bidding, he was finally knocked down at 24,000gns to Graham Foster for his Springhill flock. Graham has been a huge supporter of Boyo genetics in the past and we’d like to wish him all the very best with the lamb.
Prior to the ram lamb selling, we topped the shearling ewe trade with Boyo Amelia. By Thackwood Tyson Fury, she’s out of a Gwyndy-bred female by Wedderburn Rogue. Having previously picked up the reserve breed title at Shropshire Show, she sold to George Hoggard’s Manor House flock, based at Newark.

Our other ram lamb, Boyo Backonthelash, another by Vladamir, but this time out of a Springhill-bred female by Springhill Vodka and found a new home with Ryan Todd for his Thorn edge flock at 1000gns.

After the Premier Sale, we sold another Vladamir son privately from home to Russell Gray and Johnny Aiken who tried hard to secure Bravemansgame at the Premier Sale.

These days aren’t possible without the hard work of everyone behind the scenes at home, as well as Will Price for his expert presentation skills of the sheep. We’d like to thank everyone for their kind words at the sale, the underbidders who chased hard on the sheep on offer and we’d like to wish the buyers the very best with their purchases.
